The platform was founded in 2010 and has processed billions of dollars in donations. Tim Cadogan became CEO in March 2020 after the resignation of former CEO. Cadogan previously served as chief operating officer and has overseen growth in user base and transaction volume. Under his leadership, GoFundMe expanded its services to include payment processing and partnership with financial institutions. The company reports annual revenue exceeding $200 million and a user base of over 20 million today.
